Cats

My home belongs to three very different cats. All three are rescues of a sort.

Peeps

  • Born approximately: Spring, 1996
  • Diet controlled diabetic – Diagnosed January, 2008 – Back on insulin due to a cancer treatment
  • Left eyeball removed surgically due to infection sustained after escaping the house
  • Adopted from a farm down the road as a kitten
  • Loves her sleepy time (Do not disturb)

Zoey

  • Born approximately: 2005
  • Suffers from anxiety
  • Abandoned
  • Taken from a farmhouse as a kitten
  • Lover of parmesan cheese

Buddy

  • Born approximately: 1998
  • Adopted as a kitten from our front yard
  • Our “warning system”, will disappear if someone is outside
  • Prone to bladder crystals, on a special diet for them
  • Lover of asparagus

All three of our cats are fixed, and indoor kitties. Zoey is allowed to go outside on nothing less than a leash. Peeps will not go outside, but likes to take a peek into the porch when allowed. Buddy goes outside a few days of the year just to circle the house and scratch on the screen door to be let back in. They are free fed kitties. They also like to ignore store bought toys for twist ties from bread packaging, and dead leaves from the aloe cactus. Why can’t I find any pens in the house? Because the kitties like to swat them under any structure that is next to impossible to move.
